Example 2: Sharing guides between tours

Imagine you offer four dog sledding tours that all run at the same time, but you only have two guides available. By setting up your guides as resources and connecting them to all four tours, BookSpot automatically limits how many tours can be booked at the same time.

If one group books Tour #1 and another books Tour #3, both guides are assigned. As a result, the remaining tours will automatically be blocked for that time, while Tour #1 and #3 will remain available for others to book until the tours capacity is reached.

This ensures that you never book more tours than you have guides for, without needing to manually manage availability.

Example 3: Private and open tours

If you offer both open tours, where multiple customers can join the same departure, and private tours, where only one booking isallowed per departure, resources help you manage availability without the risk of doublebooking.

By connecting the tours to the same resource, BookSpot automatically controls how they interact. If the open tour is booked, the private tour will be blocked, while other customers can still join the open tour until its capacity is reached.

If a customer books the private tour, both the private tour and the open tour will immediately become unavailable for that departure.

This ensures that open and private tours never conflict, while keeping your availability accurate and easy to manage.
