BookSpot named a Di Gasell company after years of rapid growth

BookSpot has been named a Di Gasell company 2026 by Swedish business newspaper Dagens industri, recognising the company as one of Sweden’s fastest-growing businesses. The recognition follows several years of strong organic growth, with BookSpot growing from 4 to 12 employees since 2023 while delivering 100% year-on-year growth, without external investment.

Since 2000, Dagens industri has recognised Sweden’s fastest-growing companies through its annual Gasell awards. Companies are assessed based on their four most recent annual reports and must meet a number of criteria related to growth, profitability and financial stability.

For BookSpot, the recognition marks an important milestone in the company’s development.

From an in-house solution to a growing European platform

BookSpot was originally developed to solve challenges founders Daniel and Anton experienced while running their own activity business in Stockholm.

The need for greater control over bookings, availability and day-to-day operations led them to build their own solution. What began as an internal booking system has since developed into a platform used by hundreds of activity, rental and tour operators across Europe.

In recent years, that development has accelerated. Since 2023, BookSpot has grown from four to twelve employees while delivering approximately 100% year-on-year growth.

The company has achieved this growth organically, without external investment. Instead, BookSpot has continued to reinvest in its product, team and international expansion as the business has grown.

"Being named a Di Gasell company is an important milestone for us and a recognition of what the entire team has built over the past few years. We’ve grown significantly while remaining focused on building a strong business, continuously improving our product and staying close to our customers."

Continuing to invest in international growth

BookSpot has expanded beyond its home market in Sweden, with a growing customer base across the Nordics, and globally.

As the company enters its next phase, the focus remains on developing the platform, strengthening the team and continuing its international expansion.

"We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but our ambitions extend much further. There are thousands of activity businesses across Europe facing many of the same challenges that led us to build BookSpot in the first place. We see significant opportunities to continue growing while staying focused on the industry we know best."
